In short, there is NO specific diet for arthritis. So far, the use of the Mediterranean Diet looks promising. This type of eating regime is also helpful in managing persistent pain, which is the main complaint of people living with all types of arthritis.

"Many of my older patients find cooking for one laborious. Meals that are low in calories and high in protein would be helpful for those who are living with arthritis and looking to manage their weight whilst being active. The Field Doctor meals are well designed, offering people with arthritis a variety of meal bundles which have been developed to meet their clinical goals."
Founded in 1942, Arthritis Action is the UK charity offering an integrated self-management approach, to help address the physical and mental health symptoms of living with arthritis.
The charity’s self-management approach encompasses a wide array of services, including personal dietary and nutritional advice, and access to clinical appointments with approved practitioners. They also offer people in various communities the opportunity to take part in self-management events and online groups. Through this approach, they help people with arthritis gain the knowledge and confidence to manage their condition themselves and enjoy a more active life with less pain.
