our hcp experts & community

Let us introduce you to the experts behind Field Doctor...

Field Doctor HCP

In a world of questionable nutrition trends, we’re proud to be led by nutrition science.

Our meals are developed in line with evidence-based nutrition principles that are strongly associated with positive health outcomes and a lower risk of chronic health conditions.  You can read more about the principles which inform our ranges here.

Where we offer specialist ranges or programmes - such as our Low FODMAP meals and GLP-1 companion meals - we work closely with Dietitians and healthcare professionals who are experts in their field. This ensures our approach is informed by the latest evidence and grounded in real-world clinical experience. It also helps us understand the nutrition challenges faced by people living with specific health conditions.

Laura Tilt

Laura Tilt

Registered Dietitian + Field Doctor Head of Science

Hi, I’m Laura. I’m a Registered Dietitian and Head of Science here at Field Doctor. I’m responsible for designing and developing our meals alongside our very talented Development Chef, Matt.

I started my dietetic career in 2014 in a large teaching hospital, where I specialised in gastroenterology and trained in the low FODMAP diet. I then moved into private practice, continuing to focus on gut health, IBS and the low FODMAP approach.

Alongside this, I trained in sports nutrition and developed a specialist interest in RED-S (Relative Energy Deficiency in Sport). I also gained a lot of experience creating content and explaining nutrition in a way that’s clear and easy to understand.

By bringing Matt's and my skills together, we ensure our meals are both nutritionally sound and delicious to eat. This is no small task - particularly for specialist diets where ingredients are restricted or where we’re working to meet specific nutritional targets.

We’re also supported by a wider network of dietitians and healthcare professionals who provide specialist insight when developing meals for specific health conditions. Alongside our award-winning Low FODMAP meals, we make meals to support GLP-1 and weight management journeys, plus gluten-free, and allergy-friendly choices.

If you’re a healthcare professional, we’d love you to join our growing network of HCP friends. Our aim is for our meals to make life a little easier for as many people as possible - while staying closely connected to the topics you’d like to hear more about, and how we can better support the people you work with every day.

Partnerships

Perci Health

Perci Health

In 2024, we partnered with Perci Health, the UK’s largest virtual cancer clinic, to develop our Eat Well, Live Well Programme - a 12-week programme combining Field Doctor meals with dietitian-led education to support people following breast cancer treatment. Following a successful pilot (with results published here), the Eat Well, Live Well Programme is now live and available nationally.

Monash University

Monash University

In 2021, we launched the UK’s first Low FODMAP ready meals approved by Monash University’s Low FODMAP Certification Programme.

All our Low FODMAP recipes are analysed by the experts at Monash University to assess their FODMAP content across the different FODMAP groups. Once a recipe is confirmed as Low FODMAP, it receives certification before going into production.

We have an ongoing relationship with Monash University, allowing us to stay up to date with changes in the FODMAP content of foods and to test new meals. When FODMAP data is updated, we review our existing meals and adjust recipes as needed to ensure they continue to meet Low FODMAP certification standards.

Food Foundation - Bang in some beans campaign

Food Foundation - Bang in some beans campaign

We've proud to have joined the Food Foundation's Bang in some Beans Campaign. The aim is simple but powerful: to double UK bean consumption by 2028, as an affordable way to take climate action and improve public health. We’ve joined as a Keen Bean Pledger, committing to get more beans onto plates and double the number of bean-containing meals we sell by 2028.

For us, that means:

  • Making sure beans are front of mind when planning new product development

  • Sharing more bean-packed recipes and inspiration on our health hub, newsletters and social media to help you learn how to eat more beans

  • Showcasing our most bean-filled meals to make them even easier to choose
