Welcome to Week 4 of your low FODMAP journey
Here's what you need to know for the week ahead
By Laura Tilt
Congratulations on reaching Week 4 of your Low FODMAP journey - you're doing great!
Your Roadmap for the Week Ahead
Your goal this week is the same as before: continue with FODMAP elimination.
This might still be a combination approach (Field Doctor meals plus your own low FODMAP options) OR simply making your own meals and snacks low FODMAP.
If you’re craving something different, now is the time to try some new recipes, plan a meal out, or throw a dinner party for a friend.
This low FODMAP pizza recipe from Monash is a nice idea for the weekend, or how about this delicious Spaghetti and Meatballs recipe from our friend and low FODMAP cook Emma Hatcher.
As you come to the end of this week, we’ll remind you to complete the symptom assessment again.
You’ll be able to use this tool to compare your results to your previous scores. It'll help you decide whether to keep going for a final two weeks or whether to move onto FODMAP reintroductions sooner.
Unraveling the Gut-Brain Axis
In the education hub this week, we’ll be shifting our focus to the fascinating connection between your gut and brain, aka the Gut-Brain Axis.
As well as exploring how stress can impact IBS symptoms we'll be sharing some simple, science backed approaches to managing stress.
We hope you'll use this as an invitation to hit pause and take some time to explore ways you can build in some pockets of relaxation for yourself over the coming weeks.
As always, if you have any questions or feedback, please send a message to our team by emailing hello@fielddoctor.co.uk
